Most of all, I remember... I cannot believe that has been one year since this incredible wedding and the joining of these two sweet people and their wonderful families. We're so happy for you Annie and Andrew! Wish we could do it all over again....

Abblitt & Gaston

Most of all, I remember... It was special to have a moment alone with my dad as we peered around the corner of the bridal room at the church, watching the wedding party walk down the aisle. Because Parker and I chose to stick with tradition and not see each other before the wedding, there was so much anticipation as the doors to the sanctuary opened and I could see Parker for the first time. It was emotional, and I was so glad that we had decided to add a hymn to the service at the last minute. It allowed Parker and I a couple of minutes to regroup, but it was also such a powerful experience to be able to look back at the audience and see all of our family and friends standing together in support and celebration of our marriage. I know that throughout our lives together, being able to reflect on that feeling will help Parker and me through both the good times and the bad.

Parker and I love to dance so spending the night on the dance floor with our friends and family and the surprise fireworks exit that my mom planned are also some of my favorite memories from the day.

Douglas & Armatruda

Most of all, I remember... This was such an incredible, love-filled celebration for Frances and Jon and their families. It was so special getting to know them and spend time together  at their engagement session, Frances' bridal and then at the wedding and our album meeting with Frances' mom, Susan, in Lockhart, with Frances on the phone in Boston! I can't believe that it has been a year since these two married. The toasts that their friends and loved ones made were a testimony to the character of this couple--their generosity, empathy and kindness were celebrated to the max on June 18, 2016. Happy, happy Anniversary Frances and Jon! We're grateful to have been your photographers and are remembering this amazing time with you!

Maura

Most of all, I remember... Maura had something specific in mind for her bridal portrait. Instead of  carrying a bouquet, we  focused solely on highlighting her beautiful art deco style complemented by Laguna Gloria's gorgeous architecture. We collaborated, creating  portraits that were timeless that at the same time felt very "her." In Maura's non-bride life, she's an M.D.,  working hard to take care of others. Although she wasn't used to being the center of attention, she patiently held different poses and tried different expressions.  The whole experience was fun and so special for us, from creating the portraits to seeing the finished framed art pieces displayed at her wedding. Thank you to Maura and Matt and to their families for this wonderful time with you all!

Buchanan & Shands

Most of all, I remember... I cannot believe that these two are already celebrating their second anniversary! Their elegant-- and totally fun-- fete at the Austin Country Club was utterly unforgettable. It's so fun to share some of my favorite images and moments from their beautiful, love-filled wedding. Happy Anniversary, Elizabeth and Rob! Thinking of you and your sweet families today especially.

Bader & Williamson

Most of all, I remember... This couple! How fun it was to photograph two people so deeply in love and so passionate about taking photographs and photography. Bridget and Andrew started off their cocktail hour on the roof of Brazos Hall, overlooking downtown Austin. They had clean modern furniture paired with gorgeous florals, some of Bridget's studio B&W bridal portraits,  family wedding photos and their favorite personal photos displayed. After their romantic last dance alone, they dashed through the sparklers, ending with a kiss, as their dearest friends and family looked on.

Hall & Coudron

Most of all, I remember...Jon proposed to me in Lake Como, Italy! He took me to Northern Italy because my family is from there. We started in Milan, Italy, and our plan was to work our way further north to Switzerland. But just four days into our trip we were in Lake Como, Italy, and Jon had reserved a private antique wooden boat for us to take around the Lake.  We had a personal driver who only spoke Italian and a wonderful spread of cheeses, salami and Prosecco.  The driver took us in front of the most amazing lush estate I have ever seen called "Villa Balbianello." It is absolutely gorgeous.

Jon knew that was where he should propose so he had the driver take us around the lake for a few more laps and then we came back to this beautiful Villa where he proposed on one knee! Later that evening he had a back-up plan in place just in case "Plan A" didn't work out. So we had a private dinner, poolside, looking at the hillside of Lake Como with our very own saxophonist.  I was on Cloud 9; he really made me feel like a Gem!

Rachel & Sam

Most of all, I remember... We don't always have the chance to create engagement portraits, but even with Sam and Rachel's busy schedules--including Rachel training for and completing The 2017 Boston Marathon (!)--we got to spend some time together making these.  It was an incredible Austin evening and we were able to incorporate both their love for downtown Austin and LadyBird Lake. While we made sure to get those classic portraits with Rachel and Sam looking at the camera,  it was the moments that Rachel and Sam were after, and the moments between them that got me as well. I'm sharing a few of my favorites below. Are you considering an engagement session? Why or why not?

Robin Choban Han's Bridal Portrait

Most of all, I remember... You might recognize Robin--gorgeous inside and out--from the opening image of our new website. Her wedding was also featured on Grace Ormonde and on Carolina Herrera's  site! When Robin decided to book the Commodore Perry Estate for her bridal session, I knew we would have fun creating a beautiful bridal portrait for her. When she selected a full length image taken in the corner of the wood-walled room at the Estate, we were excited. (The famous portrait artist Irving Penn has a series of his portrait subjects in a corner, which I love.) Then, seeing her bridal portrait printed, framed, lit and on display at the historic Driskill Hotel left me almost speechless! There's nothing quite like seeing an image go from your computer screen to becoming a piece of wall art.  I'll never forget the wonderful time we got to spend with Robin as she married Jeff and became Mrs. Han!
