Callie's Bridal Portrait Session

Most of all, I remember... I love that we started Callie's bridal portrait at her Grandmother's former home in Austin. It is so special to get to photograph at a location that had significance and meaning for Callie and her awesome mom, Jill. Next, we headed over to the classically lovely Laguna Gloria. Callie's contagious laughter, her stunning intricately beaded gown from Blush Bridal and her inner and outer beauty all came together to make this bridal portrait! (and the Christian Louboutins didn't hurt either.) Thank you, Callie and Jill. We loved every moment with you, your friends and family.

Reid & Wilson Wedding Anniversary Post!

Most of all, I remember... One of my favorite wedding memories was walking down the aisle. Before the church doors opened I was filled with excitement and for the first time all day a few nerves. Once the doors to the church opened I immediately felt an overwhelming feeling of love and calmness. Walking down the aisle with my dad I saw all of our dearest family and friends who were in one place to celebrate our marriage. I saw Henry at the end of the aisle with the biggest smile on his face and I remember feeling so excited. The day was finally here and I was about to marry my best friend!

Another favorite memory was the awesome dance party at our reception! Dancing the night away with my new husband and all of our best friends and family is something I’ll never forget. I loved seeing my 88 year old grandmother dancing when the trumpet players came out to her table, that was amazing! I love the pictures of that moment. We were having the time of our lives and I remember I didn’t want the night to end.

-Caitlyn

Caitlyn and Henry's wedding was such a joy to photograph. Not only  were they so obviously deeply in love, they were also surrounded by the most loving family and friends. Caitlyn's Matron of Honor was 8 months pregnant, praying not to deliver before the wedding, and was still very hands on in every way, helping Caitlyn with her veil, dress, shoes etc. It was truly love and service in action. That spirt of love and service permeated the entire wedding day and evening.

The Allan House provided the perfect indoor/outdoor setting for their gorgeous, lush reception. Even their grandmothers could not help but dance to the magical music of the Night Owls band.

As they exited through a row of sparklers, Henry and Caitlyn shared an incredibly romantic wedding kiss, which our amazing third photographer captured from above on  the Allan House balcony.

Remembering this wedding makes my heart happy. Thank you to Caitlyn and Henry and their families for having us as your wedding photographers, and happy, happy anniversary!

Most of all, I remember...how much fun this February wedding was at the Four Seasons Austin. Think K-Ci &  JoJo for your First Dance with your friends singing along--that kind of fun!

I wanted to share some of the gorgeousness that Jinny created along with her amazing vendor team, as well as the tenderness and joy of this intimate wedding.

And not least of all, Happy Anniversary to Jinny and Andy! I hope that our paths will cross again one day soon.

Katherine Farmer's Bridal Portraits

Most of all, I remember... This chilly weather is reminding me of the beautiful winter day we created Katherine Famer's bridal portraits at Laguna Gloria We photographed her both inside, using the Art Deco architecture and that blue velvet sofa, and also outside, on the grounds of Laguna Gloria. I love how at certain moments it seems like she's in Italy, and at others, as if she's in an English Garden. We finished the portrait session at Tarrytown United Methodist where the wedding ceremony was held.

For display at her wedding to Nathan Thornhill, we created an oil-glazed portrait that was both a photograph and a painting. We love creating these one-of-a-kind original art pieces for our clients.

Katherine is beautiful in every way a person can be. Being her wedding photographer was a true joy and I am so excited to some of our favorite bridals of her today!

Sally Singletary and Taylor Wilkinson

Most of all, I remember...  It's hard to believe that it has been one whole year since Sally & Taylor's GORGEOUS wedding at Green Pastures! She, Taylor and their families were a joy to work with and to be around. We miss seeing them. Sally is a massively talented designer and she hired an amazing vendor team to bring her vision to life. The elegant French Country style felt effortless. (though great style never is!) Their First Look at Austin Country Club in front of the green ivy wall makes me tear up every time I look at it. Jim and I bumped into some special past wedding couples at the reception which was so fun and meaningful to us. Sally changed into her chic get away dress and she and Taylor left to  a Second Line, exiting  in a sea of white rose petals. It was both beautiful and joyful. Thank you Sally and Taylor and happy, happy anniversary!

Rebecca Linville & William Payne

Most of all, I remember... This stunning and elegant wedding included some nods to NYC, where the couple reside, while also celebrating their deep Houston roots. It was the most gorgeous clear day at the Bayou Club in Houston when William and Rebecca made their vows.

Along with their beloved families and friends, (and the cutest dog ever!) and after a private "first look," the couple took their vows underneath the towering Pines of Memorial. Jim and I could not have been happier for them! Their abiding love and kindness set the tone for the whole day and evening, and the celebration was pure joy, unadulterated beauty and fun. (Not to mention, Rebecca and William had the coolest late night snack--James Coney Island hotdogs!)

After the wedding, Karen and Jack Linville came out to our Studio & Gallery in Lockhart and it was so special and fun to have the "premiere" of the wedding albums on our large screen--reliving the wedding day--with Rebecca and William Skyping in with us from New York City. We laughed, snacked on charcuterie from renowned local chef, Parind Vora, and enjoyed chatting about all of the "behind-the-scenes" moments from the day.

A heartfelt thank you to William and Rebecca and to the Linvilles and the Paynes, for including us in such an extraordinary and special event! We'll never forget it, or you.

Farmer & Thornhill

Most of all, I remember... Katherine is the type of person who radiates goodness, making everyone's day brighter and better simply with her presence. And their adorable  wedding hashtag --#KatherinefoundherNate--is totally apt. Yes, she did! And he is just. as. awesome. I know that what they will give as a married couple in the world will be even more spectacular than their fireworks get away!

We could not have been happier or more blessed to have documented this couple and their stunning Austin wedding. The love between them, the joyful celebration with their wonderful families and friends--it was all such a high point! Thank you, Katherine and Nate, for every moment with you. We're truly grateful. And we're excited to share the gorgeousness below!

Abblitt & Gaston

Most of all, I remember... It was special to have a moment alone with my dad as we peered around the corner of the bridal room at the church, watching the wedding party walk down the aisle. Because Parker and I chose to stick with tradition and not see each other before the wedding, there was so much anticipation as the doors to the sanctuary opened and I could see Parker for the first time. It was emotional, and I was so glad that we had decided to add a hymn to the service at the last minute. It allowed Parker and I a couple of minutes to regroup, but it was also such a powerful experience to be able to look back at the audience and see all of our family and friends standing together in support and celebration of our marriage. I know that throughout our lives together, being able to reflect on that feeling will help Parker and me through both the good times and the bad.

Parker and I love to dance so spending the night on the dance floor with our friends and family and the surprise fireworks exit that my mom planned are also some of my favorite memories from the day.
