Jones & Baker - Part 2

Most of all, I remember... Looking back on our wedding day, there are three memories that stick out the most in my mind. The first was having the Baylor Band play at the wedding. Clint's grandfather wrote the Baylor fight song and we decided that there was no better way to play the fight song then to have the Baylor Band come play it at the wedding. This was a surprise for Clint and he absolutely loved it! The next and one of my favorite memories was when I got to dance with my dad. My dad means so much to me and we danced to one of our favorite songs called "Claire" by Gilbert O' Sullivan. This was a moment that I will never forget! Lastly, our exit was a moment neither of us will ever forget. We had hundreds of friends and family lined up on the ACL Moody Theater staircase with sparklers. We walked down the staircase and we felt so blessed to have so many people there to celebrate our wedding.

Jones & Baker - Part 1

Most of all, I remember... I knew Clint was the one when he came to visit my family for the first time. Coming from a big family it can be intimidating meeting everyone for the first time (especially with a family of mostly girls) and he definitely passed the test! My whole family loved him and I knew at that moment that he was the one.

The new Mrs. Welch recalls her perfect Christmas Gift--a proposal!

Most of all, I remember...it was a Tuesday in December when I decided that I wanted to get my very own Christmas tree to have in my apartment. I expressed my interest to Hunter and he seemed a tad bit overly excited about the idea. So, later that night we got a Christmas tree and I decorated it with gold and silver stars. After placing what I thought was the final ornament on the tree, Hunter handed me a little stocking and said there was one more for me to hang. I glanced down at the stocking and saw a brown box. Hunter took the box out of the stocking, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said, "YES!"

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. John Jinks!

Most of all, I remember... I knew I wanted to marry John on our third or fourth date. He was in Austin for the long Thanksgiving weekend and took me to a jazz club called the Elephant Room. We sat for hours in a dark corner listening to jazz music and quietly talking. We discussed our evolving friendship and the possibility of a future spent together. The entire evening just felt so natural and I remember not wanting it to end. We were completely lost in each other's company. John ended our date by telling me he wanted to make us "official." I was secretly thinking I wanted to him to be my husband. I was drawn to his ambition and playful personality and knew I couldn't let him get away. He was and is a keeper!

Happy Anniversary Chandler & Franklin!

Most of all, I remember... Franklin and I were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. I went for a free meal and nothing else, and came home after the date and told my mom that I was going to marry him. It really was love at first sight… And I thought it didn’t exist! Two years later, Franklin took me to the place where we went as a part of our first date... to the bar at the historic Driskill Hotel in Austin! We were supposed to meet up with his sister, who said that she was running late, so we sat on the couch in the bar and just talked. It was such a relaxing moment. So you can imagine how surprised I was when he looked at me and said "was this the one you wanted?" and just flashed me the ring... It didn't hit me that he was actually proposing to me at that point. I reached for the ring to see it, and he pulled back saying that he needed to do it the right way. He pulled out the ring box and began moving towards the floor and then it hit me--It was actually happening! I IMMEDIATELY began to cry as he got on one knee!!! The whole bar (which was filled with SXSW go-ers) started cheering and clapping for us!! After about five minutes of crying, hugging and "oh-my-gosh"-ing, I realized I hadn't actually said yes yet!! (which I immediately made sure of!!) I had no idea that any of this was planned, of course, which is why I was wearing a sequined top and jeans!! (I thought I was going to a comedy show for SXSW and we were meeting friends at the bar for drinks beforehand!) After the proposal, we went to the Austin Club for dinner with our parents. We talked about how we were eating at the place where my parents had celebrated their wedding reception, and after we put in an order for dessert, my mom suggested that we walk upstairs to the ballroom to look at it as a reception venue for us! When I opened the door to the ballroom, all our friends and family were there to celebrate with us!! It was a perfectly magical night and I could not be happier! I GET TO MARRY MY BEST FRIEND!! I'm the luckiest girl on Earth!!!
